We all have a story, here's mine...

It all began in the fall of 1991 as I had just recently separated from my first husband #highschoolsweetheart. At that time my 5.5 month old baby girl and I moved back home with my mom and dad and that’s when I really got serious about my nursing degree and started taking care of me. I baby stepped the journey not really knowing what I was doing but I was showing up daily for me. Making those small changes here and there like doing crunches and sit-ups in front of the TV. Eating the salad instead of the Cheeseburger and Fries that this 20 year old really wanted. I was trying to lose the last 10 lbs that was hanging around from a bad marriage that ended in divorce as I was only 21. I had no idea what to eat or how much to eat because being a Louisiana girl I can tell you this girl could EAT and EAT GOOD and A TON of FOOD. I tried every fad diet there was, year after year and I would fluctuate in between those last 7-10 pounds but the muffin top and fluid in my legs uggh that just kept coming no matter what I did. I couldn’t figure it out for the life of me as I always seemed to be working out and drinking a ton of water. Little did I know that the answers would soon be right in front me.



Fast Forward to 2014, at this point I was 43 years old, 5’2” and creeping up to 122 pounds. I signed up to be a Fitness Coach and I began watching my portions, cutting out the unhealthy foods, and taking my workout routine to higher level. I started incorporating Focus T25, portion controlled eating, and a daily dose of dense nutrition in the form of this Decadent Chocolate Smoothie called Shakeology into my daily plan and my body began to change. For the first time since my 20’s, my legs looked amazing and the muffin top vanished. Hello, I was 43 years old!!! I remember jumping for joy when my legs looked like Carrie Underwood’s plus even more amazed that I saw them in the mirror.


I’m happy say that after my first month as a coach, I was able to find that true passion for both fitness and nutrition! I would have never imagined that I would have gone from stressed out and unhappy, unhealthy Missy to a positive Health and Fitness Mindset Coach on a mission to impact lives. I also became a Country Heat and Core de Force Live Instructor! What!? It’s funny how your life can change with one simple decision, but sometimes that is all it takes. I know all too well how hard it can be to stay motivated and on track, not to mention figuring out the best combination of fitness & nutrition for your body. How many times have you been to the gym and felt totally confused? Or searched Youtube for workouts? Or jumped into a “diet” that claimed to magically drop those extra pounds? I’ve tried it all
